Course Overview:
This course is designed to provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify, assess, and provide appropriate care and support services to victims of human trafficking. The course will cover topics such as identifying potential victims, assessing for signs of trauma and exploitation, cultural competency, federal and state laws related to human trafficking, and ethical considerations in providing care. Additionally, the course will explore the role of healthcare professionals in advocacy and referral for human trafficking victims and collaboration with community organizations to combat human trafficking. By the end of this course, participants will have a better understanding of human trafficking and the ways in which healthcare professionals can make a meaningful impact in the lives of victims.
