Course Overview:
In this course, we will explore the ethical principles that guide the massage therapy profession and examine how these principles apply to the various aspects of massage therapy practice. We will also examine the codes of ethics and standards of practice that have been established by professional organizations such as the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Additionally, this course will provide an understanding of the ethical considerations in massage therapy, such as cultural sensitivity, client confidentiality, and boundaries, and provide guidance on how to handle ethical dilemmas that may arise in practice.
