Course Overview:

Abuse, neglect, self-neglect, and exploitation can place vulnerable adults at risk of physical injury, psychological harm, financial loss, loss of independence, and other serious consequences. Direct-care personnel may be among the first people to notice that something is wrong because they frequently observe the person's physical condition, behavior, daily care, interactions with others, environment, and access to personal belongings or resources. This course focuses on what Florida direct-care personnel should do when abuse, neglect, or exploitation is witnessed, disclosed, or reasonably suspected.
